Welcome to the RubenJay.com live blog of the Voice. I am trying this out for the first time ever. It’s about an hour before the show starts, and the tenstion is here. I am live backstage at the show, and you can tell that people are a bit nervous.
Let’s talk a bit about last night show. We had good performances from Josiah, Chris, Sasha and a few others. But the stand outs were Judith, Danielle , Michelle, and a few others.
Who will go home? Who knows, but it’s going to be an exciting night!
Here we go….
Carson looks good as usual. He welcomes everyone to the Voice and reminds us that we lose two contestants. Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lamber are performing “Over You” in tribute to the victims of the Oklahoma tornados. Such a beautiful song.
The Voice has a great way of doing a review of the prior night.
Team Shakira performance….
Shakira and her team are performing Stand By You. Shakira looks HOT! And sounds amazing. Sasha starts out the song. The problem with singing with Shakira is this: She has such a distinguished voice, it’s tough to break through that. It’s sad that Shakira outshone her team.
Carson introduces VIn Diesel promoting Fast 6. He mentioned how touching the oklahoma performance. He invited everyone to the premier of Fast and Furious 6.
Carson talks to the judges….
Carson kinda annoys me, but I like his way he interacts with the judges. I’ve got to say that Blake Shelton is the funniest person on the show.
Voice confessional…
The contestants have such a wonderful personality. All very funny answers to “If you weren’t singing”.
Carson always says “I might ask you a question so don’t be surprised”, and I feel like telling him “No duh! Its your job to ask questions.
And here we go, the live results! Who is the first saved artist? It’s team Blakes…….Danielle Bradburry! And secondly..from team Adam……..Judith Hill. Neither are surprising.
Team Bake performance
Blakes team is up for a performance and they killed it. An all country performance. The girls, Danielle and Holly stood out the most. Blake has done a great job with his team. I am going to buy this record.
Right away back to the results. Amber is asked about her mom, and man she looks so much like Carrie Underwood. Third person saved is from team Usher…….and it is Michelle Chamuel! And America saved number 4 from team shakira……….Sasha Allen. Wasted vote.

Team Usher performance
Team Usher is performing an amazing song. Not sure what the title of it is, but they are showing off the skills of the contestants. Josiah has redeemed himself from last nights Coldplay performance. I think Usher did a great job on this gig!
And we are out to Christina Millian, who made a minor mistake calling Danielle “Michelle”. Smart and laughed it off.
Back to results. Saved from Team Adam………(BTW Adam looks exhausted!)……Sarah Simmons. And we go to commercial!
Team Adam performance
“Ive got the music in me” is the song that team Adam performs. These girls are killing it! Adam has a great group of talent. What I admire about the Voice is that they focus on their talent as opposed to other big name talent to perform. Which I think will help the contstants but hurt the show.
The final 5 are on the stage waiting for their results. I think Amber will be saved, but we will find out. Carson’s “quick questions” are driving me crazy!
America Saved from team Blake……Holly Tucker. Holly sang a christian hymn, how great thou art. She killed it.
Final 4 are on stage Amber Carrington is the most popular. Swon Brothers have a moment. Amber got Saved! So excited! America’s final save is the Swon Brothers!
